Living On-Campus

If you consider you are having roommate difficulties, there are several things going on: the roommate knows this, too, or he/she is clueless. Things can be tense as the two of you are in the room; conversely, the roommate does not know idea how frustrated you can be at how often he/she finishes the cereal after your rugby practice.
In your room’s space, sit and think of what is frustrating you. Attempt dotting down what the most is frustrating you. Does the roommate not respect your things and space? Is he coming home too late and making much of noise? Having numerous people often?
When you have figured out the key issues, you should try to talk with your roommate. It is a very great idea to attempt to set the time beforehand. You should ask whether you may talk when you both are done with morning classes, on weekends, etc. You should set a special time so that “the weekend” does not come and go with no two of you speaking. Chances are, the roommate knows you friends need to talk, thus give her several days to put her thoughts together as well.
Also, on the same note, when you do not feel comfortable speaking with your roommate directly is okay, too. Still you do have to address it. In case you live on campus, you should talk to the Resident Adviser or some other hall staff members. They are specially trained to assist residents with various roommate problems and know what to do, in case you do not.
