Surviving Your First College Semester

1. Get acquainted with as many students as possible, introduce yourself, and be confident. Everybody is in the same boat if he appears to be.
2. It is recommended to be yourself. Your real friends will wish to know you, warts and all!
3. You should keep your points of view about others to yourself ’til you know whom to trust.
4. You should take the washing to the laundry. You should not save it up to return home to mother at the holidays. She will not want 5 minging bags to see to.
5. Have fun.
6. Also, you can join some societies at primary week fairs. In case you are not sure it is for you still are concerned, you should take note of a contact address or e-mail to get detailed information later. It is often hard to locate the right contacts later on, it is a great place.
7. You must phone home and get your family to know you are all right, (even though you do not feel it). They are more worried than you think.
8. Everybody feels a little homesick first, and on a down or worried. You ought to talk to your new friends that you feel can trust, and perhaps call or write your friends at home.
9. You are at university for several years, thus you should make the most of this, it is over before you will know it. Then you will miss the long holidays and freedom.
10. Finally, you should keep in touch with your family and friends at home, and e-mail is easiest.
